The Lost Phone Experiment
What happens to a phone when you’ve lost it? For Vodafone’s new service Mobile Protect, an app that keeps all your phones data safely in the cloud, we set to find out the answer to this burning question.
With The Lost Phone Experiment we ‘lost' 100 phones throughout the Netherlands and tracked their fortunes via a fancy site. Which yields up some interesting data about how many are returned, where they travel, what they are used for and by who.
We rewarded the honest finders by letting them keep the phones, which we topped up with €50,- credit.
